giving me wings

it's the most wonderful time of the year.

this year, i will be celebrating hallowe'en by completely going against my usual routine:
- i will go and see a friend's band. this time it will be a band that i actually *like*.
- i will go to a friend's house party. this time it will be a party that i actually *like*.

i hope to see you all in lovely costumes. thanks to my friends and loved ones, i have come up with a costume that is both hilarious and sexy. for me, there is no other way.

BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!

snowfalls in november

pretty much anyone who is reading this has already received the following message in their email inbox - but i am gonna post it just in case.

oh, and i faggot to add longjohns and other layer-able clothing items to the list... but i am sure y'all get the picture.

***********

humans!

the cold and damp are here to stay.

and so, it is time to gather warm things to take to the Triage shelter
where my dear friend jef has been working for years and years. i will
be gathering the items and taking them down to Triage.

the homeless peoples need your stuff!!

please make sure that any donations you bring to me are clean and
ready to be passed on to someone at the shelter.

here is what we are looking for - for both men and women:
- jackets
- coats
- rainwear
- boots
- warm shoes
- pants
- sweaters
- sweatshirts
- scarves
- mittens
- gloves
- earmuffs
- umbrellas
- sleeping bags
- blankets
- new warm socks (still in the package or with tags on)
- new underwear (still in the package or with tags on)

This year I will also be accepting cash donations which i will spend
buying whatever items jef feels the shelter is most in need of this
winter (i.e. buy 10 sleeping bags - or 50 pairs of underwear). so, if
you have nothing at your house to donate - give me $10 and i will make
it go as far as i can during an excursion to zellers or army and navy
or whatnot.

please take a look through your closets and see if it is time to pass
that jacket you never wear on to someone else. give me any scarves you
have knit but have never given away.

you guys are awesome. let's help keep some peoples warm this winter.

call me or email me to make arrangements to drop things off at my
house or work or to arrange for me to pick things up. if you have any
questions, let me know.

much love,

motorcrash

there are a few things i have to buy. seeing that i am shopping-impaired, i need your help to find these things.

seems to me that if i cannot find things at Value Village that they do not exist for me.

even from the depths of Germany or Ireland, i am sure that Urs will be much more adept than i will be at finding these things.

a/ jackets. i need a good waterproof-ish fall jacket and i also need a wonderful winter jacket. these things have to be quality. they have to be mod and stylish. i have to be able to wear them to work but also want to wear them in my private life. i do not want them to be boring. i do not want them to come from Mountain Equipment Coop. i am interested in colour. i am interested in the asymmetrical. i am interested in looking like Jackie O.

b/ a belt or two. my belt finally broke. i have had it since a time when it *actually* looked *tough* to wear a studded belt. again, i am looking for quality. i want something that will last and that is fun. it would be nice if the belt was vegan, but i am willing to live with leather as well. David, please post those sites with vegan belts again and i will see if there is something on there that would rock my socks off.
